Selling you protection your house does not require would be the easiest thing on this site to do. We would rather say which category you are in.

Where the volume actually is

On Victorian, interwar and later stock in this district the access is generally good — drives, side returns, straight stairs. Which is precisely why the volume is the thing nobody checks.

The loft, the garage and the shed are opened at survey, every time. On the Riverhead and Dunton Green stock a boarded loft is the single commonest reason a quote given without a visit turns out to be wrong.

What still gets protected

Everything on the route, but proportionately. Runners on carpet and laminate, guards at the corners a load has to turn, covers on the banister, and boards on the path if it is worth boarding.

What does not happen here is the full period routine. An engineered floor and a modern handrail are built for normal life, and treating them like a Georgian stair would be theatre.
